Ellen in Shoutout LA

Ellen in Shoutout LA

Meet Ellen Ganus: Professional Networker, Actress, Producer, Speaker, Author

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ellen Ganus and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ellen, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation? Success, by Emerson, is my favorite poem. “What is success? To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate the beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded!” I believe that this poem defines success as truth, compassion, kindness and legacy, all of which are values and priorities in my life.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community? I am an artist and an entrepreneur and I love staying busy.! I recently shot a new pilot, as an actress, picked up a few new producing projects and continue providing support to the cutting edge companies that make up my investment portfolio. As a founding executive of Isagenix, Int., I am still sponsoring and mentoring people that wish to have an online business in the space of health and wellness. After 19 years I remain passionate about helping people create the income they deserve so that they can enjoy the life of their dreams! Isagenix continues to be first in market with products and systems that help people look better, feel better and move better. Back in 2002, we launched our 9 day cleanse and soon after published our medical studies on Intermittent fasting. It took the world a long time to catch up with us, but it is quite rewarding to see that intermittent fasting has become a favorite of many health conscious people today.. Always a luxe and innovative company, we once again have launched a revolutionary way to help everyone support the health and beauty of their skin with a unique drinkable marine collagen. It has surpassed all of our expectations as we have sold over 9 million bottles in the very beginning of our launch. I am so proud of our ethical sourcing, sustainability initiatives and the bioavailability of this delicious elixir that is delivering exciting results for all of us! I think that we are living at a time when people are becoming conscious consumers, and our customers appreciate our transparency and commitment to excellence. . I love living the values of Isagenix as we invite people into a community focused on their ultimate well being in every area of their life.. Right now there are so many people redefining what is important to them, walking away from unfulfilling corporate jobs and looking to work in ways that provide more flexibility and meaning to their life. It is really my honor to be able to offer this lucrative opportunity to anyone looking to do something new and different!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

I love LA! We would enjoy a bike ride along the path in Santa Monica, and make sure we take a swim in the ocean. We would hike Fryman Canyon, in the Valley and also run the stairs in Santa Monica. They would have to order a Boba, from Boba Brothers in North Hollywood and take a trip to the Studio City Farmer’s on Sunday! If they were up for a coffee we would have to visit Alfred’s for the famous Iced Vanilla Latte, too. Before hitting the nightlife, we would have to get our make up done by the one and only Donna Sheynis, who makes everyone look like a movie star. A trip to the Grove and the Americana is always fun, and if we are lucky we might hop aboard the double decker bus. Our favorite breakfast spot is Aroma Cafe in the Valley and Urth Cafe on Melrose. Walking the 3rd street promenade is always a great shopping experience, too! If we could snag tickets to a concert at the Hollywood Bowl, or the Greek theatre we would definitely have a memorable night! More local treats include Uba Tube for the legendary acai bowls, Salt and Straw for rich creamy ice cream, but Fatamorgana for the world’s best gelato. A trip to the Erewhon market provides a true glimpse into the lives of the LA health nuts. On a sunny day, tea at Descanso Gardens is amazing and a great photo opp, too. Downtown LA has the best outdoor market called Grand Central Market, where a stop into Egg Slut is a must and a Chai Latte at G & B will rock their world. Of course, Santee Alley will provide them with many enjoyable shopping bargains. Taking a boat out in Marina del Rey provides yet another vantage point to see our beautiful coastline. And a stop into C & O trattoria will always delight as we get to sing “Amore” with the waiters. We can’t miss the shopping in Beverly Hills, or on Montana….and everyone loves popping into the Restoration Hardware show room. A late night dinner at the acclaimed Berri’s Pizza and a sit down with the owner Rafeal, would be enchanting. However, no one can ever leave without a private flamenco class with Irit, at Studio K’Tan,

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to? I would not be here today without the support of my family. I have been married to my husband Paul for 31 years and he has been by my side since the very first day that I took a leap of faith to start my own business.. My children have always been my “why” providing me daily inspiration, and cheering me on every step of the way. A gentleman named Ron Reid believed in me, before I believed in myself and if not for him I would not be enjoying the success I have today. Lastly, Kathy Coover, the co-founder of our company is a dear friend and mentor that has provided me a stunning example of what it means to be a generous,, kind and successful woman, always pushing me to be more, do more, and give more.
